The weight of titans (rough version)
Fight for a flower, a songbird who sometimes sings
But really it's never known what the war was for
As the flower was unlike flowers
And no other could be found
And a song once sung leaves no subsequent sound
Only ears hear once and never again
What memory can't handle what becomes a mere yearn
True emotions become abstractions
We say we yearn
Because we can't remember, we know not what for
But really it's never known what the war was for
As the flower was unlike flowers
And no other could be found
And a song once sung leaves no subsequent sound
Only ears hear once and never again
What memory can't handle what becomes a mere yearn
True emotions become abstractions
We say we yearn
Because we can't remember, we know not what for
But there's a take whence it came from
Happened long ago
When the world was older and dying
The world is the hands of a titan of darkness
Who stalked the earth all his days knowing only what for
He roamed the earth like a wildling
Singing his song - a brutal yell, a stream of conscience
Buried in the earth
Many years him and heeded what he pointed desperately to
He caught the eye of a young man who saw her too
He caught the wind of the songbird who to the titan flew
He cast her down from her tower to read his books
They wove a spell not to be forgotten for the world when it renewed
There wasn't much time but together they stopped and stood still
Hes a destroyer who only meant to save what the world has killed
He's a destroyer who destroyed all the new/what others do...
To make room for the new
And then a lance came softly out of nowhere flew
Hit not the titan but the songbird and away she flew
The archer remained but covered beneath mysterious names
Why he did it no one ever could know of his aims
The titan was defeated as the deluge swallowed his world
His ways were deeply shattered - he'd had his final word
His proteges scattered across the land they mourned
For the loss of their leader, the loss of their teacher
And there was no one to carry the torch
The world was forgotten - thousands of years
Could not be remembered
Only tatters and a few years
The remains of almost nothing from which to start a new path
They were deluded into believing they could carry on like that
They lost the torch it was snuffed out by the lance ....
And so white light killed the golden light
That could never return
And when the time has passed and they ceased to mourn
The world was lighter for relief of the titans burden
Yes it was most, but then the new could sing stupidly uninterrupted
And the fools became happy fools again uncorrupted
But fools nevertheless banging rocks in year 1
A thousand years or more to reach what just had been undone
A thousand years or more to meet a titans return
And they would kill him once again- the world does never learn
